Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kit & File LLC collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information when you use our site or contact us.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide during store interactions, such as your name, contact information, support messages, order references, and the details needed to respond to your request. We may also receive limited order and delivery information from providers that support our store. When you browse the site, we and our analytics and advertising providers automatically collect device and usage information, such as pages viewed, links clicked, the referring page, campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you followed, IP address, browser type, and cookie identifiers. We use the Meta Pixel (ID 1547085323890503), which sets the _fbp cookie and, when you arrive from a Meta ad, the _fbc cookie, and Google Analytics 4. When Google Ads conversion tracking is enabled, Google may also set its own cookies. These tags load only if you click Accept in our cookie banner. If you click Decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, they do not load. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Checkout and payment information

Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, separately processes checkout, payment, tax, receipt, refund, fraud-prevention, and transaction-support data under its own terms and privacy policy. Kit & File does not receive or store full payment-card credentials. When you click a checkout link, we add the campaign (UTM) parameters from your visit, the page you came from, your cookie choice, and (only if you accepted cookies) the Meta _fbp and _fbc identifiers to the Lemon Squeezy checkout link. Lemon Squeezy returns these values to us with the order so we can tell which visit or campaign led to it.

Our services are paid through Stripe, which processes the payment as our payment processor under its own terms and privacy policy. Stripe receives the details you enter at checkout, such as your name, email address, payment details, and billing country, plus a first-party reference that lets us match the payment to your visit. Stripe returns your name, email address, country, the service purchased, the amount, and, if Stripe asks, your choice about promotional email. Kit & File does not receive or store full payment-card credentials.

Purchase email and marketing email

Purchase receipts, download links, refund notices, and support messages are transactional communications. They are necessary to complete or support a purchase and do not enroll a buyer in marketing email.

The optional 18-day implementation series is separate. We enroll you only after you check the consent box and submit the form. We record the email address, consent wording and version, source product, page stage, and time of consent so we can honor that choice. Kit & File sends the series from hello@kitandfile.com using Kit as its email service provider. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Recommendations and purchase history

We use the email address associated with a purchase to avoid recommending a product that the customer already owns. A private browser token lets the roadmap recognize that purchase on the same browser. It does not expose the buyer's email address to page scripts.

Customer records

Kit & File keeps its own customer records. When you buy from us, sign up for email, or use a form such as the AI fit check, we record your name and email address, what you purchased, how you found us (such as the source page and campaign (UTM) parameters), and your marketing consent choice with when and where you made it. We use these records to fulfill orders, support customers, and, only if you have given consent, send marketing email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We do not sell these records.

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, deliver purchases, provide support, prevent abuse and fraud, keep accounting and legal records, resolve disputes, improve our products, and understand aggregate site performance. We do not sell personal information.

How we share information

Information may be shared with service providers used for payment, fulfillment, email, analytics, hosting, security, accounting, and legal compliance, only as reasonably needed for those functions. To measure advertising, our server sends purchase and sign-up events to Meta through its Conversions API. These events can include the order or event ID, value, currency, product, campaign parameters, and your email address hashed with SHA-256; only if you accepted cookies, they can also include the _fbp and _fbc identifiers and, for sign-ups, your IP address and browser user agent. When Google Ads conversion tracking is enabled, we report sign-ups to Google Ads. Meta and Google handle this data under their own policies: Meta Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer.

Retention and security

Records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, support, accounting, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may contact support@kitandfile.com to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Some transaction and accounting records may need to be retained by law or by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. You may unsubscribe from optional marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, manage how Meta uses your information for ads in your Meta ad preferences, manage Google ads in My Ad Center, and stop Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and Kit & File does not knowingly collect their personal information.
